How to Apply
Fill in the electronic form and upload the required documents from the link below.

We will reply once we receive your application. If you have not received a reply within 3 business days of submitting your application, please contact JSPS Washington Office at was-seminar@overseas.jsps.go.jp. Also, please be prepared to receive email communications from us within 2-3 weeks after the deadline, as we may ask to revise your application.
Documents to Be Submitted
Follow the instructions on the electronic form to upload all the required documents.
(1) Application for Seminar Program (Form A)
(2) Budget for Seminar Program (Form B)
(3) CV and publication list of the applicant (in any format)
(4) CV and publication list of the researcher from Japan (in any format)
(5) A letter of support from supervisor (Form C) *
(6) CV and publication list of the supervisor (in any format) *
Notes:
・Forms A and B are available on the Association website.

・ All required documents must be created in letter size.
・ The size and format of the forms should NOT be altered by applicants unless otherwise specified.
・ The documents indicated with this mark (*) apply exclusively to PhD student applicants.
FY 2026 Schedule
- April 30, 2026 (EDT) – Application Deadline
- Early June 2026 – Notification of Selection Result
- From July 20, 2026 to January 31, 2027 – Implementation of Awarded Seminars
