We are happy to announce that the Albert/British Columbia (Alberta/BC) Chapter has been accepted as the 5th Chapter of the US and Canada JSPS Alumni Association. It was officially launched in May 2025.
The Chapter accepts JSPS Alumni members who reside or study in either Alberta or British Columbia.
The purpose of the Chapter is to bring together JSPS Alumni members to foster regional collaborations within Alberta and British Columbia and to promote scientific cooperation and exchange between Canada and Japan. The Chapter shall maintain and expand the network of JSPS programs among its members and enhance the prospects of receiving JSPS support for science and technology partnerships.
The Chapter will plan events to inform members of upcoming fellowships and funding opportunities to create and sustain research collaborations with Japanese researchers and will advise members on ongoing activities such as scientific forums and symposia often conducted in partnership with Japanese researchers.
