US Northeast Chapter

US Northeast (New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine) Chapter of the JSPS Alumni Association was officially established in 2025.

Purpose of Establishment

Strengthening Member Ties: To foster and strengthen the professional and academic ties among Chapter members for the purpose of enhancing collaboration and networking within the northeastern region of the United States, including New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Promoting Fellowship Opportunities: To promote awareness of the JSPS fellowship opportunities among students and faculty at universities in the northeastern United States region.

Supporting Chapter Activities: To coordinate and support activities aligning with goals of US Canada JSPS AA and broader mission of the Association. These include facilitating knowledge sharing and joint research initiatives such as seminars and research colloquia.
