Official BRIDGE Fellowship call & application documents

JSPS Washington Office has announced the BRIDGE Fellowship for 2015. This fellowship award will be carried out as a component of the Japanese government’s initiative to strengthen S&T diplomacy. Under it, researchers from other countries who have experienced research in Japan through one of JSPS’s program are given the opportunity to “revisit” Japan.
The BRIDGE Fellowship Program is provided exclusively for members of the US-JSPS fellows alumni association who have conducted research activities in Japan under the Postdoctoral Fellowships for Foreign Researchers or other JSPS programs. It gives them an opportunity to create, sustain and/or strengthen research collaborations with Japanese colleagues.
Eligibility is for active/paid members who have paid fees for the last two years. However, there may be available funding to encourage and bolster membership for new members. Therefore, those who only paid the membership fee for this year are eligible; and even those who have not paid the membership fee, are also encouraged to become members  and apply in the case that there is funding available and your research is time-sensitive.
Members who have paid the last two years will receive priority. This announcement is opened to all JSPS former fellows to announce the BRIDGE Fellowship and promote the alumni association.
Please visit this link below for full details about BRIDGE and membership and check the attached application materials. Make sure to use this year’s forms (see here).
The application deadline is February 27, 2015.
