US-JSPS Fellows Alumni Association - BRIDGE Fellowship for 2016

The JSPS Washington Office is announcing the BRIDGE Fellowship for 2016. This fellowship is a component of the Japanese government’s initiative to strengthen Science and Technology diplomacy. Under it, individuals who have experienced research in Japan through a JSPS program are given the opportunity to revisit Japan.
The BRIDGE Fellowship Program is provided exclusively for members of the US-JSPS Fellows Alumni Association who have conducted research in Japan under the Postdoctoral Fellowships for Foreign Researchers or other JSPS programs such as the EAPSI Program. It gives them an opportunity to create, sustain, and/or strengthen research collaborations with their Japanese colleagues.
Eligible are ("active") members who have paid their membership fees for the last two years. However, there may be available funding to encourage and bolster membership for new members. Therefore, while only those who paid the membership fee for this year are eligible, those who have not paid the membership fee are also encouraged to become members and apply in case funding is available and your research is time-sensitive. Members who have been paying their dues for the last two years will receive priority. This announcement is open to all JSPS former fellows to announce the BRIDGE Fellowship and promote the alumni association.
Please visit this link for full details about the BRIDGE fellowship and check the provided application materials. The application deadline is February 26, 2016.
