The Japan Society for
the Promotion of Science is an independent administrative institution,
established by way of a national law (Japan) for the purpose of contributing to
the advancement of science in all fields of the natural and social sciences and
the humanities by disbursing research grants, fostering the next generation of
scientists, promoting international scientific collaboration, and advancing

The Alumni Association
Welcome to the US JSPS Alumni Association! Founded in 2004, by 30 JSPS fellows, our association is now made up of hundreds of current and past JSPS fellows based in the USA. These alumni produce a newsletter, take part in collaborative research, and hold scientific meetings and symposia, often in partnership with JSPS. To become a member, please click here.
